Paul Rodriguez , also known by his nickname P-Rod, is an American professional street skateboarder and actor.
Rodriguez was born on December 31, 1984, to stand-up comedian and actor Paul Rodriguez and Laura Martinez. Rodriguez bought his first skateboard in December 1996, shortly before his twelfth birthday. He got his first sponsor in 1999 with DNA Skateboards, after sending a tape to them. Soon after he was sponsored by City Stars skateboards, who were revamping their team with young talent. As an amateur, Paul had the prestigious final part of the video Street Cinema. Soon after this video came out, City Stars went out of business and Paul began riding for Girl skateboards. He turned professional in September 2002, after being featured in Transworld Skateboarding's In Bloom video.
